As a veterinarian of 41 years, Dr Cynthia (Cindy) McManis understands the demands of all veterinary professionals. Dr McManis founded a feline-only veterinary facility, Just Cats Veterinary Services, in The Woodlands, Texas, in 1994. She sold the practice in late 2021 and continued as medical director until December 2025. She ran an ABVP residency site at this practice from 2008 until her last resident completed the program in May 2026. She is a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association Specialty Practice Committee and is a feline veterinary consultant for the Veterinarian Information Network.
With over ten years of experience participating in Veterinary Management Groups geared specifically for feline practices, Dr McManis’ goal is to empower all veterinary professionals to build practices in which outstanding clinical care and strong business performance go hand in hand. Cats and Consults focuses on systems that improve practice performance, staff utilization and training techniques, detailed yet efficient record keeping, improved client compliance, and maintaining a fear-free environment while addressing the real concerns of burnout and imbalance in all practice types.
